ART WORK: DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH

INSPIRATION:
「ダイヤモンドの原石」は、アーティストが音を経験する方法です。
Inspired by Ben Freeth’s work (Decoded in discovery museum, Newcastle, United Kingdom). Combining Arduino and Puredata together to have some fun.

DESIGN:
Bathhouse in Miyazaki’s best film Spirited Away is the place to start. A place for gods to come and take a bath. Place where spirits meet. As a result, decision to use fog maker was made. A design in small aquarium is the prototype of this approach. Aquarium gravel and rocks are the main needed materials for the mystic view design.

TECHNIQUE:
Simply testing with sound data sending from Arduino to Puredata.

ABSTRACT:
While live electronic music applications have their own values to the way artists practice and experience sound, they also offer creativity to those who would like to experiment the piece. The original form of hearing that people use to treat sound has its long history until there is an awareness of the creative potentials of live electronic music. It is clear that even though there is a certain level of unpredictability, an electronic application is very well structured in a narrative defined by the sound practitioner.
